Advanced Speech and Language Therapist Site: The London Bridge Hospital and The Lister Hospital (twice per month), Central London Contract type: Permanent Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday Shifts: 7.5 hour shifts 0830-1630 Pay: Competitive dependent on experience + Benefits (pension, private health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development) We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our London Bridge Hospital campus, rated as 'outstanding' by the CQC.  The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City. This role is primarily based at London Bridge Hospital, with occasional support provided to The Lister Hospital, approximately twice per month according to service requirements. As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in the delivery and development of Speech & Language Therapy services within Critical Care, while also supporting patients across neurology, general medicine, surgery and oncology. Working across both inpatient and outpatient settings, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for adults with swallowing and communication disorders, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and a wider network of HCA Speech & Language Therapy colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with a strong background in acute adult services and Critical Care. You will have experience managing complex swallowing and communication disorders and be confident working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Inpatient experience is preferable, but we would also consider strong applicants with solely outpatient experience. Voice therapy experience would be advantageous, however there are opportunities to undertake training in voice therapy and other specialist areas. At HCA UK we care about what you care about. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.   What you’ll bring: Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy Registered member of HCPC Experience working within an acute adult hospital setting, including Critical Care Evidence of successful completion of tracheostomy competency framework & able to independently manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation. Evidence of successful post graduate training in videofluoroscopy/FEES. Experience in Voice Therapy (desirable but not essential) Why HCA UK?
