Position Purpose The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Dairy Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, proper inventory management, product quality, and department standards. This position supervises department associates, supports sales and profitability goals, and maintains a clean, safe, and well-stocked department. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales
Deliver outstanding customer service and promote a customer-first culture. Assist customers with product selection, location of items, and resolution of concerns. Support department sales goals through effective merchandising and product availability. Monitor and maintain attractive product displays that drive sales and enhance the customer experience. Ensure pricing, promotional signage, and product information are accurate and current. Department Operations
Oversee daily stocking, rotation, and replenishment of dairy products. Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained to minimize out-of-stocks and excess inventory. Monitor product freshness, quality, and code dates. Ensure compliance with First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices. Assist with ordering and receiving merchandise according to company procedures. Maintain department cleanliness and organization standards. Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, train, coach, and develop department associates. Assign work tasks and monitor productivity. Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes as directed. Foster a positive team environment focused on accountability and customer service. Provide leadership and operational direction during assigned shifts. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation requirements, and company policies. Maintain proper temperature controls and product handling procedures. Promote workplace safety and identify potential hazards. Support loss prevention and shrink reduction initiatives. Participate in departmental audits and corrective action plans when needed. Merchandising & Execution
Execute merchandising plans, seasonal displays, and promotional programs. Maintain shelf conditions, product presentation, and display standards. Ensure high-demand items remain in stock and effectively merchandised. Assist with department resets and implementation of planograms.
