Job Description
Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Data Centre Engineer who will be responsible for supporting enterprise data centre operations, remote office infrastructure, physical server platforms, structured cabling, power and cooling coordination, asset lifecycle management, and infrastructure resiliency. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable technology platforms across global data centres and office locations. Candidates must have hands-on experience supporting enterprise data centre environments, including rack and stack activities, server hardware, power distribution, cabling standards, hardware troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and operational documentation. The candidate should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support critical infrastructure operations in a fast-paced enterprise environment Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities Responsible for day-to-day operational support of enterprise data centers, remote offices, and physical infrastructure environments. Perform rack and stack activities for servers, storage, network, security, and infrastructure devices. Install, configure, relocate, decommission, and maintain physical server and infrastructure hardware. Support data center power, cooling, rack space, structured cabling, and environmental monitoring requirements. Coordinate with facilities, colocation providers, network teams, server teams, security teams, and external vendors for data center activities. Maintain accurate rack elevations, cabling documentation, power mappings, asset inventory, and operational records. Support hardware lifecycle management, including procurement coordination, deployment, refresh, warranty tracking, maintenance, and retirement. Perform hardware troubleshooting for physical servers, rack-mounted devices, PDUs, cabling, and connectivity issues. Coordinate vendor service requests, hardware replacements, remote hands activities, and break-fix support. Support enterprise server platforms such as HPE, Dell, Cisco UCS, Lenovo, or equivalent hardware platforms. Assist with data center capacity planning for rack space, power utilization, cooling, cabling, and future infrastructure growth. Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, including power optimization, structured cabling cleanup, rack standardization, and data center consolidation. Perform site audits, asset validation, inventory reconciliation, and compliance-related data center reviews. Support new office builds, office expansions, remote office infrastructure deployments, and technology refresh projects. Assist with physical infrastructure readiness for disaster recovery and business continuity requirements. Maintain standard operating procedures, operational runbooks, technical documentation, diagrams, and support procedures. Monitor and respond to infrastructure alerts related to hardware, power, cooling, environmental conditions, and equipment availability. Escalate and communicate incidents, risks, and operational issues as per standard operating procedures. Provide support for Service Desk, Production Support, Network, Security Operations, Facilities, and Application teams during infrastructure incidents.
