As a Tax Operations Analyst in the Tax Operations team within Asset and Wealth Management, you reconcile the banking system with tax systems to support tax reporting across multiple markets. You review transaction activity for tax withholding, remittances, and reporting outputs while partnering with upstream teams to resolve breaks and improve data quality. You apply strong analytical judgment and clear communication to meet timeliness and accuracy standards as tax requirements evolve.
Job Responsibilities
Reconcile the banking system with tax systems to support preparation and review of tax reports and gain/loss statements with limited supervision. Review transaction feeds across product and security types to validate tax withholding and remittances for markets including the United States, Belgium, Germany, and Sweden. Produce tax reporting outputs for markets including the United Kingdom, Indonesia, France, and Germany. Liaise with upstream operations teams to confirm transaction linkages, investigate breaks, and coordinate corrections. Interpret corporate events and fund-related movements and apply the impacts within tax systems. Monitor service level standards by tracking timeliness and accuracy of deliverables. Analyze transactional activity from a tax implications perspective and escalate risks and breaks as appropriate. Implement operational changes needed to support new or updated tax laws within defined procedures and controls. Maintain key performance indicators, standard operating procedures, and management information reporting to support day-to-day execution. Document recurring issues, root causes, and fixes to improve process clarity and reduce repeat breaks. Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities: Demonstrate experience performing reconciliations between source systems and downstream tax systems. Apply attention to detail to deliver accurate reporting, withholding reviews, and payment support. Review transactional activity across product and security types and identify potential tax impacts. Interpret corporate events and fund-related movements and reflect the impacts in operational processing. Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with upstream teams and stakeholders. Manage time effectively to meet timeliness and accuracy standards while handling multiple priorities. Solve problems by investigating breaks, validating transaction linkages, and supporting corrections. Collaborate effectively as a team player in a fast-paced operational environment. Use Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Access to support analysis and reporting. Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities: Demonstrate developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
