Location Description Michael Foods, Inc. located in Lenox, Iowa and often called the "Pearl of the Prairie" is where you can find small town living, focused on family and friends, with big city amenities not far from reach in Des Moines, Omaha, and Kansas City. Located in southwest Iowa, Taylor county, with a population of around 1400, the Lenox area reaches far beyond the city limits with beautiful and productive fields of corn, beans, and other croplands. Lenox holds an amazing four day Rodeo every July and is home to a beautiful 36-9 hole golf course, several fishing and boating lakes, great area hunting, a beautiful city park with swimming pool, and many picnic parks. The MFI location in Lenox produces primarily pre-cooked egg patties. POSITION SUMMARY :   The Human Resources Representative provides comprehensive support for daily Human Resources operations while serving as a trusted resource for employees, supervisors, and managers. This position supports recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, HR compliance, engagement initiatives, and HR systems administration.   This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :     Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, leave programs, timekeeping, payroll, and employment-related matters. Assist employees, supervisors, and managers with HR-related issues while promoting consistent application of company policies and procedures. Support employee relations activities, including investigations, corrective actions, documentation, conflict resolution, and follow-up discussions. Represent the company at career fairs, community events, hiring events, and workforce development initiatives. Facilitate new hire onboarding activities, including orientation, employment paperwork, I-9 completion, benefit enrollment, and policy acknowledgments. Monitor onboarding effectiveness and support initiatives aimed at improving employee retention and engagement. Conduct exit interviews and assist with turnover analysis and retention improvement efforts. Support leave administration processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, personal leaves, military leave, and short-term disability programs while ensuring regulatory compliance. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, HR records, and employee data in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Process employee transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, compensation changes, and terminations. Perform audits of personnel records, HR systems, and employment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist with unemployment claims, regulatory reporting, required postings, audits, and employment law compliance activities. Maintain workforce data and prepare reports related to headcount, turnover, staffing, attendance, retention, and other HR metrics. Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, recognition programs, wellness activities, communication efforts, and company events.
