Role Description: Role Summary: Lead the development and delivery of agile trading technology solutions for Prime and Equities desks. Responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while managing a small development team and maintaining direct stakeholder relationships with trading desks. Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 2-3 developers in delivering trading tools and enhancements using Python, React, SQL, and CI/CD frameworks Partner directly with trading desks to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions in an agile manner Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the US region Collaborate with global trading tools teams in Japan, AEJ, and EMEA regions Ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with trading desk operational requirements Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical business users Work core trading hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST) with flexibility for market events and global coordination
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
5+ years experience in financial services technology, preferably in trading or prime services Strong proficiency in Python and SQL CI/CD practices and React development a plus Proven team leadership and mentoring experience Excellent communication skills with ability to work directly with business stakeholders Experience in agile development methodologies Understanding of trading workflows and financial markets Nomura Competencies Explore Insights & Vision
