Weyerhaeuser Company is currently recruiting for an immediate opening for Journeyman Electrician at our OSB facility located in Edson, AB. Shift Rotations are 12-hour shifts, 4 on/4 off; or, 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, or Tuesday-Friday. Key Functions: * Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including power distribution and motor control systems (240 – 5KV), PLCs (mostly Allen-Bradley PLC-5s and Controllogix), Motion controllers (mostly Temposonic), Adjustable Frequency drives (A/B-Rockwell PowerFlex) and Process control equipment including HMIs. * Provide PLC programming support (troubleshooting and upgrading); run conduit and wire/rewire systems. * Assist in performing Millwright work as needed including metal fabrication, mechanical drives repair, preventive maintenance inspections and lubrication * Manage the electrical systems in the manufacturing facility. * Install, repair, and troubleshoot all electrical systems in the operation. * Effectively maintain communications with maintenance personnel and supervisors to safely and efficiently perform mill maintenance duties both reactive and preventive. * Assist with basic mechanical maintenance functions as needed.
