This role will offer you the following daily challenges: On the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program, Supply Chain is a key driver in providing buy component responsible for approximately 50% of the program hardware development subcontracts totaling three billion dollars of supplier value. The subcontractors we manage are vital in supporting design, build and deployment of the next step forward in national security detecting, tracking and destroying incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles in space before they reach American soil. This Subcontract Program Management (SPM) Manager position on NGI will be a key member of the NGI Subcontracts Leadership Team and will have as directs reports Subcontract Program(s) and associated staff. In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities: Support both the NGI Subcontracts Organization and the Operations & Sustainment (O&S) Integrated Product Team (IPT) in execution of the overall NGI program. Lead and manage a team of up to 5 personnel comprised of Subcontract Program Managers (SPMs), Subcontract Managers (SCM) and associated staff. Directly support the O&S IPT Lead on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for providing status reporting as required and supporting the overall IPT business rhythm Monitor and support each O&S Subcontract Management Team (SCMT) as they manage the overall cost, schedule and technical execution of their subcontractor. Each SCMT is expected to actively manage the supplier in delivering solutions on budget and schedule and develop and implement correction actions when necessary. Responsible for leading the SCMT and overall performance for one assigned subcontractor. Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery. Support all NGI proposal efforts Responsible for providing status reporting as required and support NGI program and Supply Chain business rhythm Travel (up to 30%) to the customer, program and subcontractor locations is required. Basic Qualifications To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education. 7+ years overall experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a combination of subcontract and/or program management. 2+ years of overall experience in working with large (over $50M) subcontractors. 2+ years of CAM or EVM related experience 5+ years of overall experience as a program manager in the capture and development phase. Technical knowledge of missile or ground support system products. You will need to be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
