Job Title: Field Technician C Job Code: 44492 Job Location: Atlantic City, NJ or Philadelphia, PA Job Schedule: 5/8  Job Description: L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Field Technician for the Company’s Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  This role will be responsible for field support in NY airspaces. Field technician will support FAA contracts FTI, ADSB, DCNS and any other FSG programs. Essential Functions: Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement, such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449 Have an excellent working knowledge of fiber, working knowledge of Multiplexes, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications Good working knowledge of power testing, AC and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC power supplies. Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards. Working knowledge and usage of various network test equipment:  JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital Oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets. IP Based knowledge with experience configuring routers and switches Experience installing equipment racks (wallmount, raised floors, concrete, etc.) Travel to FAA site locations within a 3 hour drive from Buffalo, NY area Candidate must be able to obtain FAA Security Clearance from Public Trust background investigation Qualifications: Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance. Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent and a satisfactory driving record. Preferred Additional Skills: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, A+ Ability to work from home, in an “on-call” status. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active FAA Security Clearance Capable of lifting 70 pounds Must be willing to travel (up to 100% of the time) to remote sites within a 3hour drive circle of base location.
