The Technical Applications Specialist II position reports to the Director of Technical Support, is part of the Core Histology Technical Support Team, and will be FULLY ONSITE at our facility in Deer Park, IL . In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Provides expert technical and application support for Core Histology and Advanced Staining products through phone, E-Mail, troubleshooting, and customer assistance. Maintains high customer satisfaction by meeting response-time metrics, driving continuous process improvements, and completing ongoing professional development and training. Delivers product training and educational programs for customers, employees, dealers, and sales teams while supporting laboratory projects and application initiatives. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience), with HT/HTL (ASCP) or MLT/MT certification and a strong pathology/histology background. Experienced in histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), ISH, and special stains, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer systems. Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse environments and respond successfully to multiple priorities. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Research experience with a strong foundation in pathology and histology practices. Basic Core Histology experience, including grossing, tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and various staining methods, is highly desirable.
