Senior Relationship Manager, Securities Lending Job Description Summary Securities Lending at Northern Trust helps institutional investors generate additional revenue from their investment portfolios by lending securities to approved market participants. As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will lead a portfolio of complex institutional clients, serving as a trusted advisor while delivering strategic solutions, enhancing the client experience, and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships. Major Duties Manage and expand relationships with complex institutional securities lending clients. Advise senior client stakeholders on strategic initiatives, service enhancements, and business objectives. Develop innovative solutions that address evolving client needs and industry challenges. Coordinate internal resources to ensure exceptional service delivery and timely issue resolution. Educate clients on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends affecting their securities lending programs. Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional products and services. Develop pricing strategies and manage client profitability while maintaining awareness of market and competitive dynamics. Recommend new products, services, and process improvements that support client objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred. 10+ years of financial services experience, including at least 5 years in securities lending, trust, asset servicing, custody, or a related field. Strong knowledge of securities lending products, borrower and collateral structures, and industry practices. Understanding financial markets, investment management, and portfolio management concepts. Proven experience managing complex institutional client relationships. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills. Ability to influence stakeholders, solve complex problems, and manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment. Salary Range: $114,700 - 194,900 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
