Production Forklift Truck Driver

Job Summary** Safely and efficiently operate a forklift truck to move, load, and unload materials and products within the production facility and warehouse, ensuring smooth logistical flow and adherence to safety protocols. Job Responsibilities** * Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts to transport raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to designated areas. * Load and unload trucks and containers, verifying quantities and ensuring proper documentation. * Stack and retrieve materials in warehouses, ensuring optimal space utilization and product accessibility. * Perform daily pre-shift inspections of the forklift and complete associated inspection logs. * Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the forklift and surrounding areas. * Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting and labeling materials. * Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure coordinated operations. * Participate in training programs as required to enhance skills and knowledge. Job Qualifications** * Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck). * Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in the packaging industry. * Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices. * Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts. * Good physical condition, capable of lifting up to 25 kg and standing for extended periods. * Ability to read and understand basic instructions and safety guidelines. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
