Job Description: As a Facilities Water/Waste Treatment Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing Intel's state-of-the-art facilities. Your work will directly support Intel's mission to shape the future of technology by ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems that power manufacturing, research, and development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex industrial waste systems. The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of water and waste systems, fixtures, and equipment, including waste treatment, plumbing, and process systems. Evaluate and troubleshoot Ph systems, concentrated copper waste systems, and diluted metal waste systems to make probe repairs for both Ph and conductivity. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with industrial systems, including pumps, piping, sewage outfall systems, reclaimed wastewater, acid waste neutralization, general and corrosive solvent waste, and advanced Applikon monitors. Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental standards. Assist in the design, analysis, and enhancement of mechanical systems and equipment to optimize performance and reliability. Partner with internal customers and operations teams to deliver engineering solutions that support facility operations and manufacturing processes. Support development and execution of mechanical systems roadmaps, ensuring capacity and redundancy for expansion projects, renovations, and facility growth. Provide technical input to drafting teams for design documentation, testing, and prototype fabrication. Drive continuous improvement by identifying waste system system inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. 5+ years of experience Wastewater, Chemical, Facilities Maintenance Technology, or a related technical or STEM field. 5+ years of experience in Waste Systems, Applikon monitoring, Water Treatment, or related facilities maintenance roles. Experience to troubleshoot and conduct repairs on various waste / mechanical equipment and systems. Experience with support over a large commercial facility Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
