The Australia & New Zealand (A/NZ) Specialist team at AWS is looking for a VMware Specialist Solutions Architect to work with our customers across A/NZ. Key job responsibilities As a Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, you are at the leading edge of technology in your area of expertise and called upon by others in our Sales, Solutions Architecture or technical support teams to provide expert guidance to our customers. AWS Specialist Solutions Architects are typically called upon to work with our largest customers on their most technically challenging problems and you will need to be comfortable independently working with customer stakeholders across multiple areas of business and technology within organisationally complex structures. In terms of direct customer engagement, you will own the technical engagement as it relates to their migration of VMware workloads to AWS and are responsible for ensuring that any guidance you provide is current, architecturally sound, secure, reliable, sustainable, and cost-efficient. AWS Solutions Architects are also responsible for taking learnings from individual customer successes and scaling that knowledge more broadly through the publication of white-papers & reference architectures, or by building and presenting workshops or breakout sessions at public events such as AWS re:Invent.
