About this role
Job Summary
Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Champion a safe work environment by stopping work and immediately reporting major injury hazards, reporting incidents, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and promoting interdependence by looking out for others. Contribute to an injury-free workplace by complying with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations, correcting hazards within your control, and actively participating in HSE training. Support environmental stewardship by recognizing how your work may impact the environment and taking actions to minimize negative environmental impacts. Ensure quality products are delivered by following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards. Reduce quality and cost risks by performing quality inspections, identifying and controlling non-conforming material, and raising issues that could create quality exposures. Help meet customer expectations by operating manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products with the proper characteristics and dimensions, while achieving production goals and required cycle times. Maintain efficient operations by keeping work areas clean and orderly, performing operator care and maintenance tasks, and working with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to identify and address equipment repair needs. Strengthen team performance by communicating effectively with the assigned team and support teams, completing training and personal development, and actively participating in improvements to quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.
