 Job Description JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors and maintains equipment used in manufacturing process. Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment as required. Reports malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor. Maintains productivity in accordance with plant goals. Monitors own work area to ensure that it remains free of obstructions and other hazards. Completes any necessary paperwork. Complies with good manufacturing practices and all other FDA regulations. Wears protective clothing as required. Works in a safe manner. Follows standard operating procedures. Completes all required training. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years’ experience in plastics injection molding preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. Reasoning Ability: Good reasoning ability to solve problems. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Other: On-the-job training provided.
Physical Demands
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes. Continuous standing and walking throughout the day. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Good dexterity to handle small parts. Good vision to see details. Ability to discern colors. Hearing sufficient to hear equipment signals. Manual dexterity to use hand tools.
