RDE PLS ENGINEER

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a RDE PLS ENGINEER.  What you’ll do: 
 Provide technical design support for existing products to Manufacturing, Marketing, and Engineering. Plan, lead, and participate in the development of extensions to existing product lines and new products.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Develop new products. 2. Provide technical soundness of design decisions and product changes to facilitate manufacturing, reduce cost, substitute material, improve quality, and accommodate special customer needs. 3. Prevent and correct manufacturing issues that affect product functionality. 4. Plan and execute design strategies that minimize the implementation cycle time and cost. 5. Certification process coordinator. 6. Support existing processes. 7. Maintain quality specifications of existing products. 8. Conduct laboratory tests according to the product. 9. Control and maintain the deviation system. 10. Responsible for project development for product improvement. 11. Responsible for generating reports according to the area. 12. Coordinate with other departments to maximize the use of information, skills, and resources. 13. Work with manufacturing plants on plans, processes, and strategies to accomplish a trouble-free introduction of products into manufacturing. 14. Request capital as needed for projects. 15. Use PRO Launch for new product development and product line transfer. 16. Comply with EQS, Lean, and PRO Launch procedures and policies.   2.1 Responsibilities Related to Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS): 1. Execute 100% of monthly safety inspections in coordination with the MESH Coordinator. 2. Attend all assigned EHS training.   #LI-DS2 Qualifications: 
 1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electronic, or Electromechanical Engineering, or similar fields. 2. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in similar positions. 3. Bilingual: English/Spanish. 4. Computer knowledge: MS Office; familiarity with CAD tools such as PROE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent, including drawing interpretation skills; AS400. 5. Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO 9001. 6.
