Overview
The role of the Content Lead, Local Marketing is to ensure the creation and deployment of local marketing content that equips Operators, their Restaurant Marketing Directors, and Staff with relevant and actionable information and resources. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to identify the needs of the target audiences and facilitate the creation of local marketing content across a range of platforms (e.g., Restaurant guides, field testimonials, local success stories, community-specific messaging, tools, etc.).
Responsibilities
Strategic Content Curation: Develop a streamlined Local Marketing content strategy and calendar that aligns with business priorities. Ensure all resources are simple, actionable, and directly address the practical needs of Operators and Restaurant Marketing Directors. Cross-Channel Deployment: Create high-quality, high-impact content tailored for specific audiences. Deploy resources across multiple platforms in easy-to-consume formats to maximize accessibility and immediate application. Content Management & Systems: Establish and manage a simplified system to source, catalog, and share Local Marketing best practices. Ensure cross-functional partners can easily access and leverage these insights. Trend Monitoring: Stay current on marketing and communication trends to continuously simplify and refine the content approach, ensuring all materials remain relevant and effective. Operator Story Database: Lead the solicitation and curation of Operator success stories. Transform these real-world examples into clear, actionable case studies that promote local marketing excellence. Key Partners & Collaborators Operating within a decentralized model, this role requires a highly collaborative approach. You will regularly interface with Field Marketing and the broader Marketing department, while maintaining intentional, direct interaction with Operators and Restaurant Marketing Directors to ensure all content is practical and field-ready. Internal: Corporate Communications, Learning & Development, In-House Agency, CFA HELP (Support Now), and Field Marketing. External: Operators, Restaurant Marketing Directors, Vendors, and Agencies.
Required Qualifications
(Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Proficiency in Canva Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) Strong written and visual communication skills Experience developing marketing toolkits, guides, playbooks, and templates Exceptional project management and attention to detail Knowledge of digital asset management platforms and content governance Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (or Adobe Creative Cloud) Copywriting Familiarity with brand standards and visual identity systems Experience with instructional design and adult learning principles Experience creating content for distributed or franchise organizations Fluency in Spanish SEO Required Years of Experience 3 Preferred Years of Experience 7 Travel Requirements 20% Required Level of Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred
