Director, Costing Footwear - China

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:   A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Lead the execution of strategic costing implementation in the region and provide costing leadership to business partners to achieve cost competitiveness and best possible value to our consumers.   Key Responsibilities

Execute the costing direction for the Regional Liaison Offices (LOs), in alignment with the Vice President of Sourcing Costing and in close partnership with the LO Country Leads. Lead the Costing team by setting clear objectives, providing guidance to ensure the objectives are met, costing performance of Tier 1s (T1) are improved and ensuring factory specific costing strategies are successfully implemented. Provide costing leadership within the Regional LO to ensure Creation Centers receive accurate information according to the costing calendar timelines Guide LO Merchandising teams in achieving margin targets through effective focus on all cost drivers to improve understanding of costs and positively impact margins. Drive compliance and improvement of global costing policies and procedures. Build, manage and roll out Costing Standards within regions to achieve a fact based, transparent and sustainable costing frameworks. Provide economic trend, including labor rates, inflation, exchange rates and government policy change, necessary to formulate sourcing strategies, global costing policies, costing tools. Strong understanding of all components affecting landed cost calculation including relevant duty rates by selling region and awareness of trade agreements relevant to the production region. Train and support LO Merchandising teams and T1s in the understanding and application of cost drivers (e.g. Yield, Print, Labor &Overhead, etc) costing frameworks, policies and process, including application of consistent, accurate and transparent information on cost sheets Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally. Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace. Develop and coach the Sourcing Costing team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
