Administrator HCA Laboratories, Shropshire, 20 Capper St, London WC1E 6JA Full Time, 37.5 hours/ week Shifts vary from 9am to 5pm. Occasional Saturday shift required (9am-3pm) Permanent Salary – Up to £31,076.00 + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development) We have a brilliant opportunity for an Administrator to join our HCA Laboratories. With more than 35 years’ experience delivering high quality pathology services, HCA Laboratories supports acute care across our HCA Hospitals, alongside services for IVF clinics, insurance providers, healthcare screening and GP practices. Our laboratories cover a full range of pathology disciplines and are equipped with advanced analytical and digital technology, enabling us to deliver safe, timely and reliable diagnostic services every day. As an Administrator within the Cellular Pathology Department, you will provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support, working closely with clinical, managerial, and laboratory teams. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department’s administrative and medical records services. What you’ll do: To undertake administrative and reception duties on the Cellular Pathology Department Provide a first-class medical secretarial service using correct medical terminology, including transcription of samples clinical and macroscopic details Managing samples and documentation for second opinions/external MDT/Clinical & Research Organize material for patient’s MDTs and close collaboration with MDTs coordinators on preparation of MDTs To carry out administration/reception duties i.e. photocopying filing, answering email/ telephone etc. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employees’ knowledge, skill and ability What you’ll bring: Strong secretarial and administrative experience within a healthcare setting, ideally within Histology. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Proven experience providing high-quality administrative and clerical support. Excellent attention to detail, with accurate data entry and experience using LIMS or similar systems. Experience handling confidential patient information in line with GDPR requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships. Confident and professional in responding to queries and acting as a first point of contact. Experience of working closely with clinicians, consultants, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to liaise effectively with MDT and Clinical Coordinators to support patient pathways and service delivery. Experience of dealing with Medical Terminology Why HCA UK?
