Your Day at Lowe's As a Warehouse Team Member - Forklift Operator (Part-Time), you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our stores, customers, and communities receive the products they need. You will be expected to safely and efficiently operate powered industrial equipment while working collaboratively as part of a team. In addition, all team members are expected to follow safety regulations and procedures. Warehouse Team Members work in diverse departments, each contributing to our supply chain operations. These departments include Building, Shipping, and Receiving. Current Hiring Need We are currently seeking experienced forklift operators to support our afternoon operations. The preferred schedule for this role is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates with previous forklift, reach truck, order picker, or other Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, organize, and ship products accurately and efficiently. Prioritize safety by adhering to proper procedures and conventions. Perform tasks in various departments as assigned by the Operations Supervisor. Conduct safety inspections of equipment and adhere to safety regulations. Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment. Load, unload, transport, and stage merchandise accurately and efficiently while meeting productivity standards. Perform daily pre-shift inspections of assigned equipment and report maintenance, operational, or safety concerns immediately. Follow all PIT operating procedures, warehouse traffic rules, and facility safety regulations. Accurately place products in designated storage locations and maintain inventory integrity. Support receiving, replenishment, order fulfillment, and shipping operations using powered equipment. Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced before transport to prevent product damage and safety incidents. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with facility safety standards. Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and product relocation activities as needed. Report accidents, near misses, damaged merchandise, and unsafe conditions promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
Team members may work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, with voluntary and scheduled overtime as needed (additional pay for overtime). Physical fitness to move continuously throughout the facility, lift up to 70 pounds, and operate power equipment. Adherence to safety protocols, wearing necessary personal protective equipment. Ability to work in varying conditions, from extreme temperatures to noisy environments. Strong safety orientation and ability to work independently or within a team.
