Role

Summary Internship Term: Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and 2029. In order to be considered for this role, you must be available to work full time (40 hours per week), onsite, for the entire duration. The Technical Program Management Intern will support Rivian’s Validation PMO across governance, quality, fleet, and validation tools. From January through August 2027, they will own a process or tool improvement initiative that increases visibility, efficiency, and execution rigor across validation programs—helping Rivian deliver higher-quality products faster.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Validation PMO across governance, quality, fleet, and tools to understand current workflows, identify pain points, and recommend improvements. Own an end-to-end process or tool improvement initiative, including defining requirements, building a project plan, coordinating stakeholders, and tracking implementation. Support validation program governance by preparing status updates, maintaining action-item and risk tracking, and helping teams stay aligned to key milestones. Analyze validation, quality, fleet, or tool data to identify trends, gaps, and bottlenecks, and translate findings into practical recommendations. Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to implement improvements, communicate progress, measure results, and document processes for long-term adoption.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program. Majoring in engineering, computer science, business, operations, or a related field. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion. Analytical mindset with experience using spreadsheets, dashboards, data visualization, or other tools to identify insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated interest in automotive technology, product development, validation, quality, operations, or technical program management. Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $26.00-45.00/HR for Irvine based applicants.
