About our group
The Electronic Design Engineering (EDE) team is responsible for the design, development, qualification, and support of electronic hardware solutions that enable Seagate’s technology and test platform roadmap. Working closely with global engineering partners, the team develops measurement instrumentation, test systems, and electronic platforms that support new product development, validation, and manufacturing initiatives. About the role:
Supporting HST Gen2, ISI, and next-generation test platform programs, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and qualification of electronic hardware solutions. You will:
Design and develop analog and digital circuits and multi-layer PCB assemblies for measurement and test applications. Select CPLD/FPGA solutions and develop supporting firmware to meet system requirements. Develop, integrate, and qualify measurement instruments and automated test equipment. Perform laboratory testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and hardware qualification activities. Design and optimize power delivery, grounding, EMI/EMC, ESD, and signal integrity performance. Support component selection, BOM management, EOL mitigation, and second-source planning activities. Work with PCB fabrication and assembly suppliers to support successful hardware implementation. Collaborate with mechanical, software, and test engineering teams throughout New Product Development (NPD) programs. Partner with global engineering teams, including SHK EDE, TK COMSAT, and PCCA Hardware Engineering, to deliver project objectives. Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement in hardware quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
About you
