Job Summary
The HR Generalist II serves as an on-site HR resource for operations, providing hands-on support to supervisors and employees in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment. This role focuses on employee relations, policy interpretation, attendance and performance management, training administration, and compliance, with responsibility for independently addressing routine and moderately complex HR matters. The HR Generalist II works closely with Operations management to promote accountability, consistency, employee engagement, and effective workforce practices while partnering with HR leadership on more complex employee relations, organizational, and compliance matters. Location This position will be based on-site at our manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN. Shift This HR Generalist will support 1st shift (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with flexibility based on business needs. Initial training will be conducted on a standard day shift (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday) for the first few weeks prior to transitioning. What Will You Do? The HR Generalist II provides on-site HR support and contributes across core HR functional areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serving as a key HR resource for employees and leaders by providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment practices. Managing routine employee relations matters, conducting investigations, facilitating conflict resolution efforts, and partnering with HR leadership on more complex employee issues. Partnering with leaders on attendance management, performance management, corrective actions, and employee development activities. Supporting talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities to ensure a positive employee experience. Coordinating and facilitating training programs and ensuring required compliance and development training is completed. Supporting workforce planning activities, employee engagement initiatives, and organizational improvement efforts. Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures. Supporting HR programs, processes, and projects that enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness. Maintaining accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR-related documentation. Analyzing workforce data, preparing reports, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to support business needs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and organizational growth. Escalating complex employee relations, legal, compliance, and organizational matters to HR leadership as appropriate. Participating in HR initiatives and special projects under the direction of HR leadership. Performing other HR-related duties as assigned. How Will You Get Here?
Education
Bachelor's degree required; degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of at least 2-5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment supporting an hourly workforce. Demonstrated experience managing routine employee relations issues with guidance and support on more complex matters. Experience supporting performance management, attendance administration, investigations, onboarding, and employee engagement activities. Experience using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Learning
