What you'll do
As a Revenue Accountant, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly, quarterly and annual close and financial reporting process for the revenue team. You pay great attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines as well as working optimally and cross-functionally in a constantly evolving environment. There will be a strong collaboration with the revenue accounting team in the US as well as the broader US and Dublin based finance teams. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager Revenue Accounting.
Responsibility
Review revenue contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP, ASC 606 and internal policies Complete timely and accurate contract review at the end of each fiscal month Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities including preparing journal entries, variance analysis and performing deferred revenue and other revenue related account reconciliations as needed Assist with both internal and external audits Work collaboratively with US revenue recognition team to ensure consistency of approach and adherence to global processes Partner with billing, revenue operations, financial reporting, GL, and business process teams to drive best practices in revenue Support the revenue accounting team and revenue accounting manager with special projects, including system implementation and improving internal processes and controls Job Designation Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time. What you bring Basic 5+ years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years related experience with a Master’s degree Experience with US GAAP revenue recognition principles with ability to recognize and accurately record revenue in accordance with ASC 606 Experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables Preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working in a revenue recognition role in a US software multinational Experience with Oracle or other large ERP Experience with Zuora Revenue (RevPro) Experience with Salesforce Experience with Alteryx, UI Path or other process automation systems Work ethic and an ability to perform in a high growth, fast paced environment Ability to work cohesively within a team environment Business fluency in French Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
