About this role
AWS is seeking an experienced Account Executive to own the sales strategy and execution for a territory within Samsung Electronics' Mobile eXperience (MX) Division — one of AWS Korea's largest and most strategic customers. The territory is a defined portfolio of the customer's large-scale, consumer-facing digital services running across multiple AWS Regions. You will sell into multiple lines of business, each owning its own product outcomes and technology choices, while partnering with the central function that sets architecture, security, cost, and technology standards across all of them. In this role you will influence the customer to build, shape, and accelerate their innovation priorities — particularly in AI and Core technologies — using AWS technologies and resources. You will drive revenue, adoption, and market share across established production workloads and new initiatives in a competitive multi-cloud environment. The ideal candidate possesses both a sales and technical background that enables engagement at the executive level (VP and above) as well as with software developers and cloud architects, and brings experience carrying a line-of-business coverage model. Key job responsibilities 1. Own the short- and long-term sales strategy for an assigned territory within a strategic enterprise account, carrying quota for revenue and consumption growth 2. Sell into multiple lines of business, building and maintaining executive relationships at VP and C-level with the leaders who own product and P&L outcomes 3. Align solutions to the customer's enterprise standards for architecture, security, and cost, and build consensus where central and line-of-business priorities differ 4. Develop account strategies and competitive plays that unlock new workloads and expand AWS adoption across services at varying stages of cloud maturity 5. Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AI/ML, accelerated computing, data and analytics, containers, and databases 6. Execute complex commercial agreements, including multi-year cloud commitments and private pricing, across multiple payer organizations, and develop cost optimization strategies that create reinvestment opportunities for new AWS services 7. Orchestrate Solutions Architects, Specialist Sales, Technical Account Managers, Customer Solutions Managers, Professional Services, HQ Service Teams, and Partner teams to deliver customer outcomes 8. Write and present account plans, competitive strategies, and business review narratives to customer executives and AWS senior leadership, and run an executive operating cadence of quarterly and monthly business reviews 9. Build and maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline with accurate forecasting, and mentor less experienced sellers on the team
