GBP 30590 - GBP 48944 - yearly Job Description About the role To provide analytical financial support to the Supply Chain & Operations in the Cramlington plant to ensure local finance and operational objectives are met and to support the Plant Controller in maintaining robust budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes to maintain cost control.
Key Responsibilities
This is a on-site position with hybrid work arrangement possibility Provide analytical financial support and analysis for the Plant Productivity stream, drive loss reporting, investigate variances, and assist with inventory management and capital reporting. Support the completion of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for Cramlington for MOE, losses, and S,G&A, as well as the delivery of quarterly forecasts. Complete month-end reporting processes, including accounting for losses and inventory adjustments, tracking savings, managing manpower reporting, and handling bonus accruals. Maintain strict financial controls, ensuring SOX compliance as the Process Owner for Inventory Controls while monitoring and reporting cycle count accuracy. Support the Plant Controller in identifying and implementing process improvements in operations finance, collaborating with the SSC/Accenture, and supporting key BI and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required: Educated to degree level with a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAEW). 1-3 years post-qualification experience in industry (preferably manufacturing) or a blue-chip accounting firm. Advanced user of Excel and Google Sheets with the ability to work in a fast-paced Finance environment within a multinational organisation. Skills you need to succeed: Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships across the plant. Dynamic, proactive, detail-conscious, and results-driven with a persuasive, assertive, and positive "can do" attitude.
