The Team We are the Wildfire Infrastructure team. Our engineering team is at the core of our products – deliver the best of security services on the cloud to prevent cyberattacks. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer to develop, build, and maintain our cutting edge cloud based, security product Infrastructure, which operates at massive scale and helps protect customers against constantly evolving online threats and attacks. We want passionate engineers who love to design and code world-class security services on Cloud Providers. Engineers who bring new ideas in all facets of software development, individual contributors who want to expand their skill set, take ownership of their feature areas and who are driven to solve problems at every level. Collaboration and teamwork are at the foundation of our culture and we need engineers who can communicate at a high level and work well with others towards achieving a common goal.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Ownership: Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) - from gathering requirements and design to coding, testing, deployment, and operational support. Code Execution: Write clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code in Python or Go that scales reliably for thousands of active deployments. Architecture & Design: Actively contribute to design reviews, technical discussions, and system architecture planning for appliance and cloud integrations. API & System Integration: Develop high-performance REST APIs and microservices designed to run on containerized infrastructure. Cloud & Security Alignment: Build a solid understanding of advanced Cloud Computing and Cloud Security concepts to design robust, secure workflows. Cross-Team Collaboration: Articulate technical goals clearly and collaborate with cross-functional project teams to deliver on key product milestones.
Qualifications
Experience: 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in backend or systems software development. Cloud Experience: Exposure to major cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI). Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python (strongly preferred) or Go . Systems & OS: Solid hands-on experience with Linux-based environments, including shell scripting, process
