The RFS Fire Control Production program is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) who is a leader with demonstrated success in developing and achieving organizational and program objectives. This role requires the individual work onsite at our El Segundo, California location. The MPM is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans. This MPM role will report directly to the Program MPM Leads, with accountability to the Program Management Office. You must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of internal management. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communications skills, should be able to lead both tactical and strategic efforts, and will work with cross-functional teams supporting the program. The successful candidate will have operations, supply chain, procurement or materials management experience and exhibit leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across the organization.
What You Will Do
Participate in program, IPTL, and supplier meetings as a core SCM member Develop and execute material program plans (MPP) and subcontract management plans Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements Overall ownership of the supplier and finance management process (i.e., Risk/Opportunity, Line of Balance, Metrics, Material sales forecasts) Liaise between the Program Executive, Program Managers, IPTs and the Supply Chain organization Oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensure a strong link between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control Proactively address and complete urgent supply chain tasking (Purchase Requisitions integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), Purchase Order follow up Represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives Domestic travel not to exceed 20% Implement continuous improvement through CORE, Six Sigma or related Lean methodologies/principals Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience 3 years experience in a supply chain role or related role such as Production Control, Operations, Finance or Supplier Engineering Experience using SAP The
