Production Associate- Huntsville, AL Starting Pay: $21.64 Available Shifts: Mon-Fri (5:30am-2pm) Material Handler This role involves access to information regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Therefore, only U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and individuals granted political asylum or refugee status are eligible to apply. As part of the application process, candidates must provide one of the following forms of identification: U.S. Passport U.S. Birth Certificate Certificate of Naturalization (USCIS Form N‑550 or N‑570) Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I‑551) PPG is seeking a full-time Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will work directly on the customer site and support material handling, inventory processes, and internal customer service tasks. You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and be part of a fast-paced, collaborative, and customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site material handling duties, including scanning, storing, organizing, and distributing materials and products. Review customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to identify items that must be moved, collected, or distributed. Transport materials from receiving or production areas to appropriate storage or work areas. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established sequences (e.g., FIFO). Communicate professionally via email and Microsoft Teams; run reports; perform inventory scans; break down pallets; and deliver materials to proper locations. Work flexible hours and observe floating holidays based on customer demand. Operate stand up forklift as needed Qualifications Ability to read and understand English. Prior material handling experience preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills are highly preferred. Aerospace industry experience is a plus. Ability to obtain PPG forklift certification Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally. Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, carry, and reach materials as part of daily work. Willingness to work overtime and weekends, based on operational needs.
