Description The Engineer, with a focus on electrical systems and automation, is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of production equipment, automated systems, tooling, and manufacturing processes. An Electrical Engineering background is preferred; however, candidates with Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering backgrounds and relevant experience in automation, controls, or manufacturing will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support production equipment, automation, fixtures, and tooling. Develop manufacturing processes and production controls for new and existing products. Troubleshoot and improve electrical, mechanical, controls, software, and process-related issues. Develop and support manufacturing applications and databases using C, C#, SQL Server, and MySQL . Develop electrical/electronic designs using Altium Designer . Specify, install, set up, and commission new or modified production equipment. Work closely with Production, Quality, and Design Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues. Develop operating procedures and provide technical training as required. Manage assigned engineering projects from concept through implementation. Drive continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

Qualifications

Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to manufacturing equipment and processes. Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, controls, fixtures, tooling, and process development. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills involving electrical, mechanical, controls, software, and manufacturing processes. Programming experience with C and/or C#. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL. Experience with Altium Designer and familiarity with Creo Parametric. Working knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, motors, drives, and automated equipment. Familiarity with fabrication processes and assembly equipment Ability to independently develop practical and cost-effective solutions to manufacturing problems. Strong written and verbal communication skills . Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
