Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Assembly & Test Technician II (Life Support) - 1st Shift. The hours for this role are 7:00am - 3:30pm The hourly rate for this position is $24.09 - $27.30 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Soldering Technician within Life Support. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility. Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform mechanical soldering and other manufacturing processes. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met. In this function you will: • Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met. • Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines. • Possess knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements. Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment. • Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions. • Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents. • Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation. • Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision. • Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications. Qualifications: • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. • 2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience • Previous experience using various hand tools and measuring equipment. • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
