About the Role

(Job Summary) McKesson is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory operations within a healthcare and pharmaceutical third-party logistics (3PL) distribution center. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, product integrity, and operational excellence while managing a team of Inventory Supervisors, Team Leads, and Inventory Specialists. The Inventory Control Manager partners closely with Operations, Quality, Customer Care, Client Services, and customers to optimize inventory processes, resolve complex inventory issues, support audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations while delivering exceptional customer service and operational performance. Shift: Day Shift (flexibility required) What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop Inventory Supervisors, Team Leads, and Inventory Specialists. Establish performance expectations and monitor results against operational and customer KPIs. Support workforce planning, staffing, training, and employee development initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous improvement. Inventory Control & Operations Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, investigations, inventory adjustments, and supply management. Ensure inventory accuracy meets or exceeds company and customer standards. Monitor inventory transactions and system integrity within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms. Analyze inventory performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Oversee inventory disposition activities, including expiration management, product holds, recalls, quarantined inventory, and product destruction. Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, DEA, OSHA, customer, and company requirements. Maintain audit readiness and support internal, customer, regulatory, and quality audits. Review and manage inventory-related SOPs, Work Instructions, and controlled documentation. Support investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and quality system initiatives. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Monitor and report key inventory metrics, including inventory accuracy, cycle count performance, inventory aging, adjustments, and service-related issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy, productivity, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Support inventory strategy, capacity planning, and operational growth initiatives. Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Transportation, Maintenance, IT, Customer Care, and Client Services teams. Serve as a primary inventory subject matter expert for customers, auditors, and internal stakeholders. Support client implementations, inventory migrations, and operational improvement projects.

Basic Requirements

Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Typically requires 7+ years of relevant professional
