Its defense and space technologies enable governments and institutions to protect natural resources, societies and individual freedom. www.airbusdefenceandspace.com Interest group: Data Governance Contract type/working time: Permanent/Fulltime Work experience: 3-5 years in Data Governance, Data Compliance We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Data Management Specialist to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania, Bucharest team - for the role of Data Governance Deployment Coordinator (Focus Data Governance Methods & Tools) . Areas of impact: Enabling the business to be more efficient, supporting the adoption in each function and increasing the maturity by strengthening Data Governance effectiveness through KPI reporting by implementing /extending dashboards and automating data collection.
Responsibilities
Key activities: Methods & Policy Ownership: Maintain and update the central Data Governance Methods Inventory, ensuring processes remain actionable and aligned with business goals. Business Object & Catalog Governance: Manage the Business Object (BO) lifecycle, including owner assignment, sensitivity mapping, and the definition of metadata curation standards for the Data Catalog. Stakeholder Enablement & Training: Design and deliver awareness sessions and training materials for Data Quality, Data Products, and Data Usage Assessments (DUA). Network & Community Management: Lead the Data Officers' community, manage the preparation of DG committee and operational meeting cycles, and onboard new Data Custodians. Maturity & Criticality Assessment: Execute frameworks to assess the maturity of data domains and identify the most critical Business Objects through stakeholder workshops. Regulatory & Strategic Alignment: Provide subject matter expertise for data regulations (e.g., EU Data Act) and support the long-term Data Office roadmap. Key accountabilities: Framework Adoption: Ensuring Data Governance methods are consistently applied across all Data Offices. Glossary Integrity: Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the Business Object dictionary and Data Catalog. Community Engagement: Strengthening the "Data Mindset" and ensuring high participation rates in governance forums Requirements:

Data Governance principles Enterprise Process / Ontology understanding Change management Strong communication Workshop facilitation Training design Project management 4+ years of professional experience and at least 2 years of experience in a Data Management field (e.g.: Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Compliance or related data management activities in a business function, e.g.: Engineering, Finance etc.).
