We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor - MEP to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. In this role, you will be responsible for managing costs, preparing comprehensive bills of quantities, and ensuring efficient project delivery for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain budget control and optimize project profitability while adhering to contractual obligations and industry standards.

Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for MEP systems and components Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to accurately quantify materials and labor requirements Monitor and control project costs throughout all phases of construction, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies to support project planning and decision-making Manage contract documentation, including variations, claims, and change orders related to MEP work Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders and management Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify quantities and ensure compliance with contract specifications Maintain organized project records, databases, and documentation for audit and reference purposes Analyze tender documents and prepare cost comparisons to support vendor selection Ensure compliance with local construction standards and regulations applicable in Bahrain Qualifications Must have a QS or Engineering degree or similar equivalent Working towards MRICS 3-5+ years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with specific focus on MEP projects Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their cost implications Strong expertise in preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and financial analysis Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and contract management Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
