The GMEX Inventory Planning and SPM team at Grainger is responsible for inventory planning, purchasing, supplier performance and field support. The Sr Mgr leads a team responsible for ensuring strong product availability, purchasing governance and excess management across all locations in Mexico. Scope of responsibility includes managing over $2B MXN spend across 140+ suppliers to support $1B MXN in inventory across 18 locations. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development • Lead, coach, and develop a 20+ member team across multiple Supply Chain functions, including three leaders. • Drive employee performance through hiring, development, feedback, and corrective actions. Strategic & Operational Planning • Build and execute short- and long-term inventory plans to ensure availability, minimize excess, and stabilize supply. • Oversee $2B MXN in purchases across 140+ suppliers to support ~$4B MXN in sales. • Develop and maintain reporting and analytics, enhancing end-to-end reporting capabilities for better visibility into GMEX performance. Decision-Making & Governance • Make independent decisions on products, services, and operational programs. • Interpret policies and recommend changes that impact costs, processes, and business outcomes. Cross-Functional Projects & Execution • Lead complex initiatives requiring advanced analysis and crossfunctional collaboration. • Design and deliver large-scale inventory projects with senior business partners. Problem-Solving & Adaptability • Apply advanced technical and analytical expertise to resolve complex issues. • Adapt to dynamic challenges with innovative, independent, and strategic judgment. Requierements:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in supply chain, business or engineering. 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Process Improvement, Operations, Change Management, Business Transformation or similar. Strong business acumen with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated competency in strategic end-to-end thinking. Demonstrated capability to build relationships and work effectively across all business functional areas and levels of leadership to attain goals and drive business results. Strong presentation and communication skills to various levels and groups. Demonstrated experience in understanding and evolving complex processes, data landscapes and systems that impact immediate operations of multiple functions. Demonstrated experience in building complex reporting and visualization. Demonstrated end to end understanding of supply chain. Advanced understanding of inventory principles. Ability to operate in an environment that requires the individual to respond to problems that are varied, complex and often non-recurring due to the supply chain environment being dynamic.
