Your Opportunity BDO Canada's Indirect Tax practice is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Senior Manager to join our growing Customs and International Trade Services (CITS) team in Vancouver. This advisory-focused role will support complex tariff, origin, valuation, and trade remedy matters across a national client base. The successful candidate will work closely with a diverse client base, including organizations with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, requiring professional fluency in both Mandarin and English.

As part of BDO’s CITS team, you will: Advise clients on surtax/tariff exposure, customs compliance, and trade strategy across Canadian and U.S. regimes Analyze classification, valuation, origin, and trade remedy risks Develop defensible technical positions and draft advisory memoranda Lead and support clients through CBSA verifications, and dispute resolution matters Design and implement customs compliance frameworks and internal controls Communicate directly with clients and regulatory authorities Collaborate with tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border teams across Canada Contribute to practice development, knowledge management, and coaching of junior staff This role involves both technical analysis and client-facing advisory responsibilities.
