As a Principal Logistics Specialist, you’re responsible for supporting strategic logistics transactions between multiple parties including Raytheon’s Integrated Product Teams, Export / Import, and OCONUS (Outside the Continental US) logistics teams, and third-party logistics providers. In this role, you’ll oversee the importation and exportation of material and Major End Items (MEI) in support of multiple country specific programs.
What You Will Do
Support Supply Chain leadership in executing strategic logistics and supply chain initiatives. Coordinate with internal Product, Export/Import, and Logistics teams. Coordinate with external third‑party logistics providers to maintain operational alignment. Define and maintain the logistics scope and basis of estimates for new programs. Support transportation processes by updating shipment status across multiple international programs. Track and analyze all cost elements associated with shipments and identify cost‑reduction opportunities. Manage Earned Value, Risk Management, and Opportunity Management components within logistics budgets. Execute shipping transactions, prepare country‑specific documentation, and maintain milestone tracking and reporting. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (20% domestically / 10% internationally). This position is onsite at one of our Tucson, AZ locations.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience. Experience with Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations, and or Program or Project Management. International supply chain experience. Earned Value Management System experience, or experience with other financial reporting tools.
Qualifications
We Prefer APICS CSCP or equivalent certification, with the ability to obtain within 12 months. Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience. Experience in Integrated Logistics Support concepts, requirements and processes. Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance level or program access after start date.
