Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting lease accounting activities related to operating and finance leases in accordance with ASC 842. The role includes maintaining and updating the Lease Query Tool, performing lease accounting and reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, assisting with lease-related reporting and analysis, and providing support for assigned External Reporting activities. The incumbent will ensure compliance with SOX requirements, company accounting policies, and applicable accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with global stakeholders to resolve accounting issues, prepare/review accounting entries, analyze financial information, and support lease accounting and external reporting processes. This individual will contribute to the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls. This is a full-time position based in our Pune, India office.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience CA Intermediate with 3-6 years of relevant experience in Lease Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), General Accounting, Financial Reporting, or External Reporting; or Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1+ years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in lease accounting and working knowledge of ASC 842 is preferred. Experience supporting financial reporting, consolidations, or external reporting activities is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update lease records in the Lease Query Tool, including new leases, modifications, renewals, terminations, and reassessments. Perform monthly lease accounting activities for operating and finance leases in accordance with ASC 842, including preparation and posting of journal entries. Reconcile lease-related accounts, lease payments, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support month-end and quarter-end close processes through journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, accounting analyses, and supporting documentation. Coordinate with Finance and business teams across the Americas, Europe, and AMEA regions to gather lease-related information and ensure consistent application of lease accounting policies. Report monthly lease accounting results through designated reporting and data mapping tools to support consolidated financial reporting. Support Financial Reporting and Consolidation teams with lease-related accounting, reporting requirements, and disclosures. Support assigned External Reporting activities, including preparation of schedules, disclosures, supporting documentation, and analysis required for quarterly and annual reporting processes. Assist with internal and external audits by providing lease accounting documentation, analyses, and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with SOX controls, corporate accounting policies, and applicable accounting standards. Perform lease-related analyses, special projects, and other ad hoc accounting assignments as required. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in lease accounting and related technical accounting matters.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and
