Responsibilities: Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as production assembly jigs, engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams, production operations, and production engineering Develop, prepare and maintain all documentation related to the design, fabrication, and usage of various tooling items and their respective associated calibration equipment Program, setup, and machine parts on 3 and 5 axis mills, lathes, and live tooling lathes Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Bridgeport mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, drill press, etc.) Other responsibilities to include Equipment Maintenance & Calibration, Blueprint Reading, CNC machining, Welding, Composites Modification, Tooling Inspection, Laser Tracking, CMM and Portable Arm Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ years’ experience working in a machining environment 1+ years’ experience as a machine operator CNC programs Experience using complete set of toolmaker shop equipment (milling, lathe, precision, grinding, polishing, and fitting) 1+ years’ experience with 5-Axis & 3-Axis NC/CNC Milling Machine High School diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Associate’s degree, equivalent trade school certificate, and/or equivalent military experience Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly Processes and Technologies Experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM) Experience operating metrology devices such as CMM, Arm, or Laser Tracker using CAD-based metrology software Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .
