Standard Job Description Build What Matters. Protect What Matters. As a Sr. Assembler , you'll build advanced missile, rocket, and launcher systems that support the U.S. military and our allies. Your work directly protects the warfighter and delivers critical defense capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing
Perform repetitive and non‑repetitive assembly tasks on mechanical assemblies and sub‑assemblies. Operate automated equipment; conduct touch‑up painting and related manufacturing processes. Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, work instructions, and production plans. Use hand/power tools, jigs, fixtures, saws, and precision equipment to complete assemblies. Conduct in‑process and final quality inspections to meet specifications. Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test components per technical requirements. Identify and report quality, process, safety, and production issues; help resolve them. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with hand and power tools, including torque wrenches, drills, inspection tools, riveting tools, screwdrivers, power screwdrivers, ratchet wrenches, nut runners, crimpers, cable tools, and other manufacturing tools. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, specifications, and detailed work instructions. Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment while following established procedures and quality requirements. Ability to lift to 30–50 pounds. This position is located at a facility requiring special access and requires the selected candidate to be a U.S. citizen. Desired Skills Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment. Understanding of mechanical assembly processes and production flow. Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify issues, and determine appropriate next steps. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to learn new processes, tools, equipment, and technical requirements. Experience with SAP or willingness to learn. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook. Previous experience working in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
