 Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a motivated entry-level Electromechanical Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team in Orlando, FL. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to develop hands-on electromechanical design skills in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

The Associate Electromechanical Design Engineer will support the hardware development for military electronics housed within flight-worthy assemblies. Activities will require cross-functional coordination to complete hardware design efforts and support integration efforts for the designated electronic system. Responsibilities may include: • Researching, developing, and designing components, equipment, and networks for military applications • Creating detailed mechanical layouts, 3D models, and engineering drawings using CREO or equivalent CAD software • Designing and revising rack-based test equipment and associated cables and tooling • Preparing and editing detailed production-level drawings and associated Bills of Material (BOMs) • Supporting hardware integration, working with cables, harnesses, and wiring • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality engineering • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including assembly instructions and test documentation using CAD tools   At Lockheed Martin we keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges.  • Bachelor of Science degree (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university • Experience with CREO, Catia, or similar 3D modeling software • Experience with creating hardware drawings, drawing instructions, assembly instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), and/ or technical documentation using CAD tools • Knowledge and desire to work on electronic hardware. This may include working with: electronic housings, cables, circuit card assemblies, wire harnesses, etc. • Ability to work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams • Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance Desired Skills 
 • Previous internship experience • Ability to engage with mechanical drawing standards and experience with detail, assembly, and installation type 2D drawings • Experience using CREO and/or Zuken • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and/or manufacturing processes • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design
