As a Managing Writer/Editor in the Product and Content Marketing team, you will create impactful content that drives our marketing strategies and client engagement In Japan. You will work closely with business partners, subject matter experts and marketing specialists. You will use your expertise to ensure every piece of deliverable is relevant, differentiated, and actionable, helping us connect with intermediaries, financial advisors, and end investors.
Job Responsibilities
Develop strategic content marketing initiatives, including brand copy, product collateral, client communications, thought leadership, and digital engagement assets. Author and produce IPO materials, as well as regular and ad hoc client reports in collaboration with Investment Specialists, Client Advisors, and the Client Reporting team. Analyze market and industry trends to strengthen brand and product positioning, supporting asset growth and retention. Produce marketing collaterals end-to-end across multiple communication channels, including digital platforms and in-person events. Lead product promotion efforts and showcase our investment and active management capabilities. Optimize content formats and messaging across client segments, channels, asset classes, and vehicles, including social media, paid media, and search. Support strategic marketing priorities by leveraging resources and streamlining processes. Ensure content complies with internal standards and external requirements, adapting to evolving regulations and guidelines. Pilot innovative ideas to drive measurable impact and marketing excellence. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Bachelor’s degree from finance, economics, journalism or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience including investment experience. Deep product knowledge and a strong understanding of Japan’s competitive landscape; able to conceptualize, structure, and craft sales narratives based on differentiated positioning. Proven experience developing marketing materials end-to-end with a strong marketing lens (e.g., packaging investment data and insights into differentiated, compelling narratives and effective visual presentations for target audiences). Passion for the investments business, with a broad understanding of asset classes, portfolio analysis, the asset management industry, and client behavior. Exceptional attention to detail, holding every deliverable to the highest standard accuracy - driven by a quality-first mindset grounded in rigorous review, audit discipline, and strong controls. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to own responsibilities independently; data-driven mindset and strong analytical judgment to recommend clear, actionable follow-ups. Native-level spoken and written Japanese, strong spoken and written English. Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar, and Microsoft Office and strong analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort with formulas, performance methodologies, and risk analytics. Highly effective at building and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including team and project management and day-to-day coordination. Highly organized and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines; able to multitask while consistently delivering high-quality output. Excellent time management and project management skills, including experience coordinating editorial projects. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Experience in investment or financial writing across APAC markets.
