Area Sales Manager (Microsurgery) This is a key territory for medical division and direct sales role handling both the Govt. and Private Institution. The sales strategies and activities required to drive the sales target within the division. The ultimate objective is to grow sales and margin in the territory and to increase market share through effective promotion and selling efforts and by aggressively defending achieved market share against competition within the microsurgery business vertical. Focused on the 4P’s of Marketing (Product, Price, Promotion and Place) is responsible for providing marketing leadership and for developing and executing market attack plans, identifying growth opportunities and launching marketing promotions with the scope of creating market demand and accelerating new products growth for your Region. Responsible for product sales activities of divisional products, including new product lunches, competitive data gathering, VOC, creation of sales tools and monitoring of business results ( Product mix, volumes, prices, customer profitability).
Key Responsibilities
Drive Sales Performance - Achieve sales targets and grow the medical product portfolio (Neuro, ENT, Plastic and Reconstruction, Spine, and Ophthalmology) within the assigned territory. Expand Business & Profitability - Increase direct sales, market penetration, and profit margins across assigned accounts, territories, and customer segments. Build Strong Customer Relationships- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key decisionmakers, clinicians, and stakeholders in customer accounts. Should be able to build rapport with leading Neuro, ENT, P&R, Spine, and Ophthalmology surgeons to drive business growth and drive KOL Engagement Ensure Compliance & Effective Decision-Making- Conduct business with the highest standards of integrity and compliance while handling critical discussions, negotiations, and business decisions effectively. Leverage Clinical Network & Market Knowledge- Utilize strong knowledge of the territory and maintain excellent rapport with leading Neuro, ENT, P&R, Spine, and Ophthalmology surgeons to drive business growth. Required Skills and Experience Educational Background & Industry Experience- Degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, MBA, or equivalent; strong sales experience in the medical device/healthcare industry is equally valued. Proven Sales Performance- Minimum 8+ years of experience in selling medical devices, preferably surgical operating microscopes , with a demonstrated track record of achieving consistent sales growth.
