About this role
Senior Director, Product Management- Global Payment Network Sr Director, Product Management (PXDP65) Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth and transformation will result in a company with the scale, brand, capabilities, talent, and values to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society and our industry.
About the Team
As part of the Global Payments Network Product team, you will help lead and own the core authorization domain that sits at the center of every transaction we process: authorization decisioning, rules and configuration, routing, resiliency, and trust (fraud/risk signaling, credential validation, tokenization). This leader will be accountable end-to-end for the platform's ability to authorize transactions correctly, securely, and reliably at scale across all networks (DN, DCI, PULSE) and schemes, setting the highest bar for change control, testing, and uptime given that any defect in this domain directly threatens live money movement — while drawing a clear, defensible boundary between what belongs in the core versus what should live in adjacent domains (boarding, client servicing, settlement, regulatory/risk, data & insights, etc.). The ideal candidate has deep experience running mission-critical, high-availability transaction-processing systems in payments or financial services, a track record of building platforms designed for products not yet imagined rather than re-architecting around today's requirements, and the organizational maturity to partner closely with peer domain owners, product, and risk/compliance stakeholders during a major platform migration and cutover. Capital One Product Framework In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management: Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions Business Focused - Delivers game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 7 years of Product Management experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position .
