About this role
The Client Management, Market Leader (West), will be responsible for driving profitable growth, achieving persistency goals, and managing renewal targets within Guardian’s Select Markets. This role will report to the Head of Client Management within a particular region. You will: Lead and develop a team of Client Manager Associates in an assigned region. This includes oversight of daily activities, monitoring and management of business and transaction volumes to increase persistency/retention/profit. Drive consistent, efficient, and effective process and workflow activities within assigned region while maintaining a customer experience environment that directly supports driving increased revenue through great customer experience, re-enrollment, add-issues, and retention. Partner and work in conjunction with Regional Sales and Service Leadership. Ensure effective performance management. Engage the team by providing business updates and organization’s objectives, while maintaining an environment of trust. Be able to work in a matrix environment, facilitating change, defining, and monitoring metrics and effectively communicating, coaching, and executing. Develop and manage talent through effective development planning and performance management. Align goals, monitor performance and metrics and ensure effective staffing models are in place. Champion and support the team with change communication and training needs. Monitor and control expenses to meet assigned budget and support operational cost-containment goals. Continuously seek more efficient, less costly ways to manage the business. Support the general wellbeing of the broker and client relationship for the development and growth of Guardian sales and client retention. You are: A proven leader who inspires others and is focused on driving human achievement. You understand both sales and client management and the Group Benefits business, including products, the service model and distribution dynamics. You are an excellent communicator who can make complicated concepts easy to understand. You are action-oriented and focused on continuous improvement. You are customer focused and can drive change. You have: Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required 5+ years of Field Sales or Client Management experience, preferably within Group Benefits Understanding of sales and service environment and activities Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and provide thought leadership Demonstrated ability to operate independently but collaborates with peers to drive a consistent experience Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills Must achieve required industry licensing within 90 days of date of hire and maintain license through completing Continuing Education requirements Location and Work Arrangement: The preferred candidate will be based in the Plano, TX area and will work on-site a minimum of two days per week in Guardian's Plano Regional Office. Travel: Less than 10% travel associated with this position Salary Range: $49,370.00 - $81,110.00 The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
