Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team: The S&P Dow Jones Indices Technology Quality Engineering team comprises of global teams that are responsible for the quality and delivery of applications and infrastructure that power global markets. Responsibilities
Be a self-starter; operate independently as part of an agile team; advocate for software testing best practices Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of software functionalities, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure alignment with business objectives Utilize technical expertise in automation tools and technologies to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for continuous integration and deployment pipelines Analyze and troubleshoot issues, defects, and discrepancies, documenting and tracking them to resolution using defect tracking system Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders regarding QE processes, tools, and methodologies Participate in maintaining QE and UAT environments along with builds and deployments. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and incorporate relevant knowledge into QE practices Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience 4+ years of experience in complete software testing activities Proficiency in automation tools and technologies such as Java, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber Hands-on experience with test frameworks like Carina, Karate is a plus Experience with Object-oriented languages like Java or Python In-depth knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and validation Experience with Linux operating systems command-line tools Knowledge of cloud computing services like Amazon Web Services is a plus Understanding of release testing, sign-off and deployment methods Strong skills to proactively resolve issues and escalate appropriately Understanding of Performance Testing Concepts is a plus Experience in evaluating testing technologies, conducting test strategy design and test script code reviews Experience with Index/Benchmarks and Asset Management is a plus Experience and understanding of Agile methodology Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams About Company Statement: S&P Global delivers essential intelligence that powers decision making.
