About this role
About the Role Participates in a UK government accredited structured educational/work program between the company and a training provider, and enrolled on an accredited training program directly related to skills required by the company. Performs assigned tasks in technical/engineering disciplines e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Quality Engineering. A Lockheed Martin Apprenticeship will help you to develop the practical skills and knowledge that you will need to join a highly skilled team of Electrical and Mechanical Assembly Technicians. The job will involve training in the following: A comprehensive range of Electrical assembly techniques Interpreting drawings and working from written instructions. Use of hand tools, and measuring and test equipment. Liaise with Engineering and manufacturing team leaders to improve electrical assembly methods and design. Use problem solving techniques to solve process related issues. Ability to prioritise work load in order to meet deliverable commitment timelines. Experience of 6 ‘S’ principles and lean manufacturing / continuous improvement tools and techniques. Required skills, qualifications and experience GCSE's 9-4 or A*-C in English and Maths AND Minimum of 2x A-Levels to include Maths/Physics OR Completed Level 3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering related discipline. Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a desire to learn new skills. Additionally, if you have technical / hands on interests or hobbies, we would be very interested to hear about them.
