What You Will Do
Plan, and perform troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations, modifications and preventative maintenance functions on various complex conventional and numerical controlled electronic systems on machinery and test equipment while practicing and complying with environmental health and safety directions and procedures. Work from complex schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, program instructions, manufacturing manuals, written and verbal instructions in the repair of complex factory equipment. Select and use various electronic test and calibration equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, tachometer and other related test equipment. Build apparatus to be tied in with system. Make necessary calculations to determine value of components and line loads for new and existing circuits. Use various hand and power equipment associated with the trade. Work with plant maintenance to facilitate machine relocation and surplusing. Contact vendors to identify resolutions to repairs and parts availability. When required, assist other trades. Maintain and update schematics and preventative maintenance documentation. Instruct one or two fellow employees in the proper performance of duties. Improve process and solve problems in cooperation with fellow employees and technical support group. Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean. Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 12:00am- 7:00am Training could potentially take place on 1st or 2nd Shift for up to 6 months.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Equivalent to 3-4 years trades training in electronics and associated equipment.
Qualifications
We Prefer: Requires a well-rounded knowledge of electronic circuitry and theory to include digital and analog integrated circuitry as well as familiarity with basic principles of mechanics, hydraulics, magnetics, pneumatics as associated with numerical controlled equipment. Certification is required for power industrial truck and respirator and a license is required for over the road vehicles. Training is required for hazardous material handling, confined space and lock-out tag-out. Must have knowledge of national electric code and computer skills.
