Grade Level (for internal use): 13 About the Role S&P Global is seeking a Director of Public Relations to lead external communications for the Chief Technology & Transformation Office (CTTO). This role translates CTTO’s enterprise technology agenda into clear, credible narratives for media, customers, policymakers, partners, and market stakeholders across all technology verticals.   You’ll advise CTTO executives, lead proactive media and executive visibility, and develop communications for major technology milestones, conferences, and awards. You will also support issues management with guidance, messaging materials, and executive preparation in close partnership with the extended Communications and Legal/Policy partners.

Responsibilities

Lead external technology communications strategy and execution  for CTTO, aligned with Global Technology & Transformation Communications priorities and broader corporate reputation goals. Own media relations and spokesperson support  for technology and transformation topics, building relationships with technology, business/financial, and policy reporters. Drive AI, data, and transformation storytelling and enablement  by partnering with technology, data, engineering, and transformation leaders to surface proof points, translate complex topics into business value, and identify opportunities to use AI and emerging technologies to enhance communications strategy, execution, workflows, and insights. Build executive thought leadership and stakeholder engagement  for CTTO leaders by mapping the network of influential voices they need to engage, developing executive visibility plans, and preparing bylines, Q&As, talking points, interview prep, conference remarks, and social content as needed. Provide media training and executive readiness  to ensure CTTO leaders are prepared for priority interviews, external appearances, high-stakes conversations, and ongoing engagement with influential industry, media, policy, and customer voices. Manage conferences, speaking, and awards  for priority CTTO moments, including speaker/panel materials and nomination strategy. Support issues management  by providing messaging guidance, rapid-response materials, Q&As, and executive readiness for high-scrutiny technology, AI, data, cybersecurity, or policy topics. Partner cross-functionally  with Legal, Government Affairs/Policy, Risk/Compliance, Product Marketing, Investor Relations, and business communications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness. Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $126,676 to $221,434 USD. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. Experience leading communications for complex, high-profile technology and policy topics. Strong writing/editing skills and ability to distill technical content for senior audiences. Proven experience advising executives and preparing leaders for interviews and external appearances. Track record building relationships with technology, business/financial, and policy media. Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Legal/Policy/Compliance/Risk stakeholders.
